The rotating event bosses in Evony TKR (Golems, Witches, Warlords and Lava Turtles) drop fantastic rewards. But how do they compare to regular bosses in terms of resources and speed ups dropped per boss? Per stamina spent?

We took into account the event bosses (Golems, Witches, Warlords and Lava Turtles), regular bosses (Minotaurs, Griffins, etc) and new bosses (Ymirs, Cerberus) to analyze the best bosses for both resources (rss) and general speed ups in Evony, including per stamina spent.

To skip the analysis, Ymir 3 (also Ymir 4) followed by Warlord 3 and Witch 3 are the best bosses for resources. The Cerberus boss family of Senior Cerberus, Medium Cerberus and Junior Cerberus really outshine all previous bosses for speed ups.

Best Evony Bosses for RSS (Resources)


In general, the level 3 and level 4 event bosses (particularly Ymirs, Witches and Warlords) are the best value for resources. Senior Nians (only available during Chinese New Year) are also good contenders.

Phoenix is technically also high on the list for resources per kill, but the amount of troops needed to kill a Phoenix makes this less practical than other bosses.

Best Evony Bosses for RSS: Ymir3, Warlord 3 and Witch 3


For total resources per boss, Ymir 3, 4 and 5 more resource per kill than any other Evony boss, at 8-10 million total resources per kill. All drop each kind of resource equally (food, stone, lumber and ore). The resources comes from the Legendary or Epic Event Boss Chests.

However, when taking into account stamina, the level 3 event bosses, Ymir 3, Witch 3 and Warlord 3 are actually the best value for resources in Evony.

Per stamina spent, both witch 3 and warlord 3 drop 200,000 resources. Ymir 3, the new event boss, drops 266,666 resources per stamina spent, the most of any boss in the game.

Best Evony Bosses for Speed Ups (General Speeds)


In general, the regular bosses level 10 and above are quite good for general speed ups. However, with addition of the Cerberus boss family, they really outshine the rest of Evony's bosses by magnitudes in terms of speed ups.

The Junior Cerberus drops 2,100 min of general speeds, or about 1.45 days. Medium Cerberus drops 4,390 min or 3 days of speeds and Senior Cerberus drops 9,090 min or 6.3 days of general speeds! Jump to the full list of boss comparisons for speed ups, total and by stamina.

Best Evony Bosses for Speed Ups: Junior Cerberus, Medium Cerberus and Senior Cerberus


The new Cerberus family are the clear winners for general and specific speed ups in Evony. Considering that the Junior Cerberus is a medium difficulty boss, similar to a B11 or Ifrit, they are fairly easy to take down. Even the little guy drops 5 times more speed ups per stamina spent, compared to a B15 or Phoenix.

Per stamina spent, the Senior Cerberus is also the best, followed by Medium Cerberus and Junior Cerberus for general speed ups. Each of these puppies are a magnitude better than the previous speed up bosses (Phoenix and Griffin).

In addition to being king and queen of resources, Senior Cerberus also drop a nice amount of specific speeds, refining stones and Dragon and and Achaemenidae scrolls.

Best Evony Boss Rewards - Summary

Evony has rotating event bosses (Golems, Witches, Warlords and Lava Turtles), and it's clear that level 3 (and level 4, 5) of these event bosses drop fantastic rewards. This is particularly true for Ymirs, Witches and Warlords, which are a bit more difficult than golems or lava turtles.

With the introduction of the Cerberus boss family: Senior Cerberus, Medium Cerberus and Junior Cerberus really outshine all previous bosses for speed ups.

The Ymirs, specifically Ymir 3 is currently the best for resources.
