Evony Christmas Event: Snowmen, Santas and Snowballs

The Christmas Event in Evony lasts 3 weeks from the first or second week of December to the last week.

There are three notable events in the Evony Christmas Event: Cranky Snowman, Santa is Real and Snowball Fight. Other reoccuring events that also happen throughout the year include Dwarf's Lucky Apple, Lucky Composing and Crazy Eggs.

Evony Christmas Event: Cranky Snowman

Cranky Snowman spawns on the world map during the Christmas event, and the description of the event says:

During the event time, players will receive Christmas gifts from Snowman Monsters on the world map.

There are five levels of Cranky Snowmen, from levels 1 to level 5, each getting progressively harder to kill. However, these are not hard monsters, and if you have a march with a few million in power, you should be able to easily defeat level 5 Cranky Snowmen.

Evony Christmas Event: Cranky Snowman Rewards

Each level of the snowmen drop something different, although all are Christmas themed:

• Level 1 Cranky Snowman - Christmas Hat
• Level 2 Cranky Snowman - Gingerbread
• Level 3 Cranky Snowman - Christmas Socks
• Level 4 Cranky Snowman - Christmas Bell
• Level 5 Cranky Snowman - Christmas Crutch

Here is a screen shot of the battle report and rewards from a Level 5 Cranky Snowman: While the some snowmen reward boxes (Christmas Bell and Gingerbread) give some 30min speedups, the Christmas Socks and Christmas Hat gives small amounts of resources, gold and materials. The Christmas Crutch has the best rewards, with 200k of each type of resource and 5 refining stones and research stones.

Evony Christmas Event: Santa is Real

Santas also spawn on the world map during the Christmas event, and the description of the this event says:

During the event time, players can visit Santa on the world map and receive Santa's gifts.

There are four levels of Santa, from levels 1 to level 4. Each santa takes the same amount of stamina to visit, and level 4 Santas grant the best rewards.

Evony Christmas Event: Santa is Real Rewards

Each Santa will grant you a Christmas Box when you visit, although the rewards in each one are different. In fact, in the best (Level 4) Christmas Box, you can receive 50million of any type of resource! It's definitely worth the time to visit level 4 Santas on the map during the Evony Christmas Events.

• Level 2 Santa - Uncommon Christmas Box
• Level 3 Santa - Grand Christmas Box
• Level 4 Santa - Super Christmas Box

Evony Christmas Event: Snowball Fight

Snowballs become available in the store for 100gems, which you can throw at other players. The description of the snow ball fight event says:

During the event time, players can throw a Snowball to an enemy's City and reduce his currently marching troops' March Speed. The Snowball can be purchased from the Store.

You can throw a snowball at another player by highlighting their keep, and selecting the throw snowball option. If you have a snowball in your inventory, it will chuck a snowball their way. Otherwise you get an option to buy one for 100gems.

Throwing a snowball decreases their march speed by about 50%. So if their current march takes 5 minutes, snowballing them would make their current march take 7 minutes and 30 seconds.

You can actually throw a snowball onto a friend or a member of your alliance.

The march speed decrease only affects their currently marching troops, so it won't affect the enemy if they don't have a march out.

Evony Christmas Event - Summary

Christmas in Evony brings lots of potential jackpot rewards, like 50 million wood or ore from Santa, as well as some worthwhile Cranky Snowmen to hunt. In addition, you can chuck a snowball at your enemy who has a march out to slow their troops, an interesting tactic for PvP.
